Jonathon S. Wright

Jonathon Wright was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Ohio. He attended Gettysburg College, where he majored in Mathematics, before completing his PhD in atmospheric science at Georgia Tech. He works in the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University in Beijing, where he has been since January 2012.

Research Interests: Diagnosis of atmospheric water vapor and energy cycles at regional and global scales; Atmosphere-ocean interactions and tropical climate dynamics; Surface-troposphere-stratosphere interactions and exchange; Modeling, observation, and applications of stable water isotopes; Cloud-aerosol interactions and radiative effects; Documentation and evaluation of atmospheric reanalyses.
