Jonathon S. Wright
Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University, Beijing

Jonathon Wright is a climate scientist working to understand how water and energy flow through the atmosphere and ocean using models, satellite observations, and water isotopes. He teaches a graduate course on atmosphere–ocean interactions and co-teaches an undergraduate course on oceanography. Jonathon received his PhD in atmospheric dynamics from Georgia Tech in 2006 and his BSc in mathematics from Gettysburg College in 2001. He joined the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University in January 2012.
Research Interests: Diagnosis of atmospheric water vapor and energy cycles at regional and global scales; Atmosphere-ocean interactions and tropical climate dynamics; Surface-troposphere-stratosphere interactions and exchange; Modeling, observation, and applications of stable water isotopes; Cloud-aerosol interactions and radiative effects; Documentation and evaluation of atmospheric reanalyses.
研究方向: 大气水与能量循环;大气-海洋相互作用;全球季风与辐合区;稳定水同位素;云-气溶胶相互作用与辐射效应;平流层动力学与气候;大气再分析
