Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University, Beijing

I am a climate scientist specializing in the flows of water and energy through the Earth system. My group studies topics at scales ranging from the physics of cloud formation to the global monsoon using a wide variety of data types, from global climate models to atmospheric and oceanic reanalysis products to direct observations of water isotopes. I joined the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University in January 2012, where I teach a graduate course on atmosphere–ocean interactions and an undergraduate course on oceanography.
Research Interests: Atmospheric water and energy cycles; atmosphere-ocean interactions and tropical climate dynamics; global and regional monsoons; modeling, observation, and applications of stable water isotopes; cloud-aerosol interactions and radiative effects; troposphere-stratosphere interactions and exchange; atmospheric reanalyses.
研究方向: 大气水与能量循环;大气-海洋相互作用;全球季风与辐合区;稳定水同位素;云-气溶胶相互作用与辐射效应;平流层动力学与气候;大气再分析
